I specialize in geomancy, but am a master of a few arts. If you stick around long enough, you might see one of my fuck ups from my early years of dabbling in spirit magic show up."

Sal would raise an eyebrow at his guest. "Well i am not sure i am particularly fond of waitting around to see the mistakes of sorcerers. they tend to be rather lethal at times. But then I am used to more of the Sabbat experiences. MY Time here in the city has seen the rule of both the sabbat and now the camirilla. So i have something of a unique perspective on things. If i may ask how removed are you from our progenitor?"

I am trying to quietly spread the word so that there is not mass panic among our kind. I am attempting to glean what little information i have regarding who possible targets would be."
Sal would sip his drink.
"People are going missing. our people, I have enough information to know that it is something that may be hunting both sabbat and camirilla. So anything that is enemies to both is certainly worth being worried about. I have had rumors confirmed on both sides that people have gone missing. but of course this is a city where actions speak louder then words."

Many in the camirilla do not like my clan and find consider serpents of light to be to closely associated to the sabbat for their own liking. I am a true independent as much as one can be independent within a camirilla city." Sal would finish his drink and would look at gary.

<Scene> The lights dim dramatically, a spot light silhouettes three female forms on the area of the stage. as the lights go up you can see three attractive women dressed in the pin strips of a feminize mob boss outfits a wave of energy sweeps the club drawing eyes to the stage save for Gary who feels a slight tingle at the blue cord he wears around his neck and as the song proceeds its obvious the lead singer, A mix raced Beauty. seems as fascinated with him as everyone else seems to be with her (level one presence awe somehow applied to a whole room) even the untrained ear can pick up the fat that the song is sung in five part harmony somehow the lead singer is producing 3 voices and back tracking her own voice. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6HlYfbaWd0 this is the sing <scene> |

He would turn his head away after a moment and shake his head and return to watching with a clear head. He would balk a bit when he would listen to the singer with a clearer head. "Hate it when they put a someone like that up on stage. If she had any real talent she wouldn't need the subtle help."

"My friend, she had real talent. This little blue cord, reversed the fascination back onto her from me. She kept her cool up there, even though she was dripping wet for me. That's showmanship. As far as using it to begin with, that's just a little extra we have over the mortals. It's not cheating if a person can jump a little higher in basketball, same with us. This place here is Kindred only, it's a place for talents as they were meant to be used."

"Don't Get me wrong Gary, I appreciated the talents i have but generally i find there are times when the vampiric world tends to lean a little to heavily on them. They become a crutch that we use to bend and break each other. It takes all the sport out of it. I mean how much is someone worth if a person can wave their hand and bend them to their will. I enjoy a good mind fuck as the next person i just think its the difference between an artist and a person who can trace the lines of others work really well."
Sal would be watching the show enjoying himself with the music. "I mean the fact that you wear such a thing means you are frightened that anyone here is going to walk in here and enslave the place."

"I think you have the wrong idea about our powers. We 'evolved' to have them. Just like we evolved to have eyes, we don't get accused of relying on our eyes too much, except by the blind. And you cant really use dominate without knowing how to manipulate someone to begin with. Our powers dont replace skill, they anhance it."

I respect what you are saying great deal since you may have experience with that particular power and I do not." Sal would leave it at that. The man was more than a little opinionated and Sal was loathe to try dispose someone of such ingrained belief's He sighed inwardly a little. He hoped that he would never become so set in his ways that he would view things in such absolutes. But then eternity has a way of making people less able to change cope and adapt.

"It's not about a particular power. It's all of them, with exception of the base three. Potence, Celerity, and Fortitude require no skill to use. All of the other powers, they can't replace skill, only enhance it. For Example, I have a ghost that follows me around because I learned the magic of dealing with spirits and tried to use it without knowing anything about spirits. I only made that mistake once. Now I know everything there is to know about spirits. Most people that know Dominate rarely need to use it, because they are masters of manipulation and they just use it when someone is too dumb to get the point being put across to them. Using any of the powers we inherit from our Curse without a firm understanding of the underlying skills they are attached to can spell disaster. Hence the spook that follows me around." Gregory seems chipper about explaining things. Like being a teacher is something he is accustomed to. Not in a smug fashion, but more of an enjoying teaching fashion.

Sal would listen aptly as a person who is always willing to learn new and interesting things. He would nod and drink thing in with Gary as he is explaining his perceptions of things as he understood them and showing he understood more then Sal did in the world of the vampire.
"I guess that is the benefit of age. Sometimes people say i am still to young to understand things properly yet. I have not even really seem my first generation change yet. They are all old now but still to many ties back to the human way of thinking."
