This is a world of Darkness setting. It is not out of the ordinary for things to get twisted, gross, mentally scaring or just play sexy.
However, though this is an adult site there are some limitations. these are not to stifle your creativity. but to make sure everyone has fun in a non threatening or offensive environment.
to help facilitate that people have fun and the type of story's they want We would like you to post on your profile personal limitations to role playing.
It is important to do two things firstly
Respect other players, just because you comfortable eating babies doesn't mean they are, and they don't have to be.
Second be vocal if something pushes your limits in a post make an ooc note of it saying you need the thread to halt and either work it out between yourself and the other person or message an administration. The goal of roleplaying it to have fun and the is hard to do when your sick to your stomach of having to see a therapists.
It should also go with out saying no metagaming that is using Out of character knowledge in game to get some advantage. when you hurt the story you hurt everyone including yourself.
Avoid projective posts these are post where you state something your character has done that could normally be met with resistance. for example.
(Jill pushes jack in to a car and stuffs a grenade in his mouth)
as jack will not just sit back and take this it is a projective post because one character is controlling the actions of another. If you want to write something like this you have two options.
1 you can state it in a way that could be resisted
(Jill tries to pull jack in to a car, and if she does she would also attempt to put a grenade in his mouth)
or
2 talk it out with the other player make some roll to determine the out come and then post to the thread the results
(Jill shoves jack in to the car forcefully but gives a angry growl when he sits her grande back in he face)
Also it is important to remember that you will be playing with others so keep that in mind during character creation. if you make a bad guy make him to hang out with other bad guys do not make someone for a venue that will end up fighting with everyone. some friction is perfectly fine but if you make an Assimite do not make him the type that wants to kill every other vampire on site. reclusive A-holes will end up alone, or dead very quickly and only have themselves to blame. Characters do fight and do die but this is not a pointless round of immortal combat. if your are fighting to the death have a great reason for it.
lastly remember this is a game, characters will say and do horrible things to you. and you can say and do horrible things to them. as long as it stay IC and makes sense don't take it personally. If someone takes it ooc tell an administrator.
