The slums of El Cajon are littered with squat little single story Mexican style homes with the odd apartment building here and there, and several of them grouped together at one end of the slums. Like every slum in America, there are liquor stores and guns shops at seemingly regular intervals and plenty of basket ball courts. There are no white people here, African Americans are the minority and there are Latinos everywhere.
